SEND 0-25 SERVICE
Welcome to the January 2020 edition of the SMBC Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) newsletter. A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all. I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas holiday.
This newsletter will be briefer than usual, given we have only recently returned from the Christmas break.
Recruitment for the Assistant Director of Inclusion and Alternative Provision is progressing. Interviews are due to take place this month.
Interviews for the Team Manager vacancy are taking place on 10th January 2020.
Interviews for additional admin posts have taken place on 8th January 2020.
Thank you to all those of you who have contributed to the development of the Inclusion Code for Solihull. This has been signed off by Education, Health and Social Care partners and will be added to the Local Offer over the next week or two.
SEND Strategy Review
Some work has already taken place to look at what is outstanding from the Ofsted Action Plan and the current SEND Strategy. Thank you to the PCF and the North parents support group for your help with this.
This will progress throughout the spring term.
