Understanding Dyspraxia – how do I talk to my child about their diagnosis?

Lorraine Mattocks (parent advisor) and Helen Rowe (co-ordinator) are hosting an evening for parents/carers of children/young people with dyspraxia.

The event will take place at Marston Green Parish Hall on 1st October from 7pm -9pm.

Cost £5 for non members and free for members (pay on the door). To book a place please email stating that it is the support group you wish to attend. Tea, coffee, biscuits and chat will be provided J

Supporting Children and Young People with Dyspraxia in Mainstream School – for TAs, teachers and other professionals

This event will feature talks from:

  • Sally Payne, Occupational Therapist and Trustee of the Foundation
  • Jo Shilton and Jo Walker from the Specialist Inclusion and Support Service (SISS) in Solihull
  • Lorraine Mattocks, Parent Advisor to the Dyspraxia Foundation West Midlands team and parent of a son with dyspraxia.

There will also be contributions from Tim Trivizas and Imogen Rowe, Youth Champions of the Dyspraxia Foundation.

Refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to ask questions and to meet other professionals working in education.
