Balsall Common is a bustling village near Berkswell and Kenilworth, located off the A452 Kenilworth Road. It is a popular route for commuters and tourists with easy access to the NEC, Birmingham Business Park, Solihull town centre, and Meriden village. There are good transport links to Birmingham International, Birmingham New Street and Coventry via Berkswell Railway Station situated around 100 yeards from Balsall Common village centre. Enjoy this short, circular walk around Balsall Common, starting from Lavender Hall Park car park and heading through Balsall Common village centre, out to Berkswell Railway Station and along the Kenilworth Greenway, then past Lavender Hall Fisheries and back to the starting point. Solihull Farmers’ Market takes place in the High Street, Solihull town centre on the first Friday of every month 9am-5pm. Produce is sourced from within a 50-mile radius. On the third Saturday in every month, Solihull also hosts a Fine and Local Food Fayre. Country Markets Ltd is a co-operative social enterprise that holds regular markets selling home-grown, home-made and home-crafted items. Markets are held locally at Balsall Common (Saturdays 10am-11.30am) and Bentley Heath (Fridays 9.30am-11.30am).

Berkswell Windmill is a brick tower mill built in 1826 on the site of an earlier post mill. It was last worked by wind in 1933 and was restored in 2013.
