Self-help groups of people researching Caribbean family history from the Solihull area meet at Solihull Central Library. The Solihull & Birmingham Caribbean Family History Group, and the Jamaican Family Roots group usually meet monthly on Saturday afternoons. Solihull Libraries run courses on family history for complete beginners and for those who have been researching for some time. Courses run during the autumn and winter. Beginners’ courses start in January 2017 at Shirley Library and Hobs Moat Library. Other courses are likely to take place in September/October 2017.
