Our Community Garden

We have been working alongside ‘Gro-Organic’ to design a garden which will be used by Bishop Wilson School and the wider school community. With the support of our parent working party, the plans have come together nicely and the foundations for the project are beginning to take shape.

The Gro-Organic team have been working extremely hard and so far have built a picket fence and cycle path. With the help of our children and parents, thousands of bulbs were planted. Have a look at some of our flowers in bloom!

Our Plans

Gro Organic are now in the process of building, a polytunnel, a bottle greenhouse, an allotment and a clay oven. They have also made tables and benches which we are looking forward to using in our picnic area soon!

Update June 2017

On Wednesday 14th June we were lucky enough to have over 100 volunteers working with ‘Grow Organic’ to help develop our community garden. The volunteers from IMI, a specialist engineering company, worked tirelessly throughout the afternoon to develop the poly tunnel, bottle greenhouse, pond area and furniture.

We are hugely grateful for all the help provided and look forward to continuing to work with IMI and ‘Gro Organic’.

Have a look at what the volunteers got up to!

If you would like to get involved with our community garden, please contact with myself or Sarah Gill at Gro Organic.

Many thanks

Miss Downs
