Community Equipment & Wheelchair ServiceElsie and Keymn (CEWS)

The community equipment and wheelchair service provides:

  • A wide range of items to help people maintain their independence or help with their rehabilitation
  • A special seating and postural support service
  • Detailed assessments of people’s mobility needs
  • Modifications to wheelchairs when people’s needs change
  • Regular safety checks on the equipment loaned to people
  • A comprehensive repair, delivery and collection service

What’s happening in 2016

CEWS will be relocating to the new Better Living Centre in January 2016 and will become part of the integrated services being provided by not only Adult Social Care, but Health, Solihull Community Housing and Public Health. CEWS will be expanding its operational resources to ensure that it continues to meet the demand and expectations of referring agencies and service users.
