A new chapter is beginning for community equipment and useful gadgets in Solihull with the opening of the Better Living Centre. The centre integrates a range of services which help to support people to live independently in the community and includes up-to-date assessment facilities and a new ‘demonstration house’ where people can learn about the vast range of products available to make daily life easier. Many of these are simple items that help people cope with the natural process of ageing so that they can continue to live healthy, active and independent lives. This is the first time that Solihull has had this kind of facility and we think it’s a great opportunity to improve how we support Solihull citizens.
Watch our short video introducing the Better Living Centre, showcasing the support we have on offer.
The Centre houses the Community Equipment and Wheelchair service, the Gadgets team, part of the Promoting Independence Team and part of Solihull Community Housing’s Safe & Sound and Independent Living services.
It’s located at Unit 4 of Elmdon Trading Estate, Bickenhill Lane (B37 7HE) close to Birmingham International Airport.
