Children and Road Safety

Walking younger children to school is a good thing, helping to promote fitness, build confidence and get them out and enjoying the fresh air. It is also good to teach them a greater level of independence as they get older.
However, it does increase their risk of being involved in a road accident.
Parents and carers for children are the best people to teach road safety to children, but there is a lot of information and advice to help too, such as:
